Advisory and Accountability body

The Advisory and Accountability body provides the board with advice. It also has the authority to express an opinion about:

  • The board’s conduct on the basis of the annual report, the annual accounts and other information (for example the findings of the Supervisory Board);
  • The policy pursued by the board as well as the policy choices for the future.

This opinion together with the board’s reaction will be made public and included in the PCN annual report.

Composition

The Advisory and Accountability body consists of three memebers. One member is a resident of Sabe, one member is a resident of Sint Eustatius and one member is a resident of Bonaire. A member represents all stakeholders of the corresponding island. The Advisory and Accountability body can decide that a member represents a certain group of stakeholders. The board appoints the Advisory and Accountability body on the joint recommentadion of the affiliated bodies of the corresponding island, the trade unions and the pensioner unions. After a request for nomination, the board can propose a candidate. Only those who are residents of the corresponding island as wel as participant, former participant of pensioner, can be nominated.
